I have only been to Rancho Cancio once back in June 2014. That was when I facilitated a team building program for managers of Petron.



Rancho Cancio is also known as the Adlaon Farm House. It is located in Cebu City's mountain barangay of Adlaon. No public transport is available except for habal-habal or motorcycles. Therefore, it is best reached by private vehicle.

Rancho Cancio is basically a rest house. It is situated away from the polluted urban environment of Cebu City. It is within the city. But far from the urban area. So imagine how much fresh air brought about by the mountain breeze one can enjoy here. It is a good place for some quiet time alone. It is not without amenities too. Rancho Cancio's iconic image is an infinity pool with Cebu's mountains as background. It is 6 feet at its deepest. We utilized the shallow part for most of our activities in the water.

Below decks is a recreation room. A billiard table occupies much of the space.

The open space at the back is utilized as a volleyball grass court. It is where we had several outdoor activities. There are actually two open spaces at the back of the house. Both spaces are wide enough for group activities.

Rancho Cancio can accommodate up to 40 persons. They have rooms for overnight guests. Catering can be availed. But it is a very private place. Not everyone can rent the place. I don't know how they screen who can rent. But I was told only friends of friends of friends.
